1325 N Wells St (2015 - Present)

1325 N Wells is a 7-storey apartment building currently under construction in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago.  This building features 60 units across 6 floors, parking for 30 cars, 2 commercial spaces, and rooftop amenities including a pool, fitness room, and party room.  The buildings is a blend of structural systems including concrete, structural steel, load-bearing masonry, and cold-formed metal framing with a veneer brick & cast stone facade. 

My role at 1325 Wells began shortly after construction was started in late 2015.  Though I was not involved with the initial documentation, I was tasked as a Project Engineer for the duration of the Construction Phase.  As part of that role I have assisted in bidding subcontractors, managing contracts, managing consultants, coordinating RFI's, reviewing submittals, and more.  This role requires regular site visits and direct coordination with subcontractors on understanding issues and developing a solution. Most recently I have been assisting with securing our certificates of occupancy and responding to requests by the city inspectors for modifications to completed work.
